Background

Lachlan’s primary practice is across all aspects of employment law, human rights and public law, with a particular interest in statutory interpretation and industrial law. Lachlan’s practice includes advice work and appearing in mediations and court and tribunal proceedings across jurisdictions.

Lachlan previously worked for Crown Law from 2016 to 2023, as a solicitor and then at the Employed Bar (appearing led and unled). During this time Lachlan’s practice focussed on complex public law and employment advice and litigation across many jurisdictions, including High Court matters.

Lachlan holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology and was Associate to his Honour Judge Horneman-Wren SC of the District Court of Queensland and Deputy President of QCAT in 2015.
