Background

Sam was admitted to the profession in 2017 and called to the Bar in 2022. Before joining the Private Bar, he was a Senior Federal Prosecutor with the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions, a Prosecutor with the Queensland Police Service, and Associate to her Honour Judge Clare S.C. of the District Court.

As a State and Commonwealth prosecutor, Sam appeared regularly in the Magistrates, District, and Supreme Court for a variety of matters.

Sam has a particular interest and expertise in criminal offences involving carriage services and terrorism. He has given presentations on Commonwealth terrorism offences on multiple occasions.
