Background

Suki was admitted as a legal practitioner in 2013 and called to the bar in 2023. She practices throughout Queensland in the areas of crime, regulatory matters, disciplinary proceedings, workplace health and safety, and public inquiries/inquests.

Before joining the private bar, Suki worked for notable international and national commercial law firms, including McCullough Robertson and Norton Rose Fulbright. She later joined the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions, where she worked for eight years. Her primary focus lies in criminal law, with significant experience as a Senior Federal Prosecutor. Suki has advised on, instructed, and appeared in both routine and complex criminal prosecutions at all stages of the criminal justice process, involving both the Queensland and Commonwealth legal regimes.

Suki has appeared extensively in the Magistrates Court, District Court, and Supreme Court of Queensland. She has specific expertise in cases involving fraud, drug-related offending, child exploitation offending, money laundering, and human trafficking. Additionally, she has delivered numerous legal education and training seminars to federal prosecutors and external stakeholders in these areas.

Previously, Suki served as an Associate to His Honour Judge Everson of the District Court of Queensland. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland.
